History

On this page comes the history of the Pelican as far as I know.

Feel free to send some information to correct or supplement.

Tjalkjacht Pelikaan was launched in 1904 as Anna Cornelia at the shipyard Gebr. de Boer in the Lemmer.

Built for Widow J. Nieboer as a sailing cargo ship

large 90 tons.

unfortunately very little is known of its history.

It was once extended and shortened by F. Eisenloefel in the late 1970s and early 1980s

In the girders of the ship measurement service on the site of the lvbhb I found the following:

Nov 5, 1904 the first measurement 19.64x4.71x 90.85 tons

19Aug 1922 remeasurement regarding placement of engine 88.04Ton

24aug 1933 23.32x4.70   73.91Ton

9Mrt  1949 23.32x4.70  103.58Ton

6okt 1982 21.56x4.65 23.01 Ton

In 1988 she got a Z brand

1998 again a B brand

Dimensions according to the current measurement certificate: L.20.29 B.5.05 D1.10

After a complete refit she came back into service as Pelikaan in 1997.
